Jeremiah 14:3
"And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; thy returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads"
While getting this devotional ready, it was discovered that the header of the Chapter reads “While people liven sin, God refuses to hear”. Do not be baffled, God deals with sins in different ways. Everything and everyone in life, including nature can suffer because of sin. The above situation affected both the rich and the poor. Young and old. Nothing was left behind from the result of sin.
Lack of rain equates to closed heaven; whereby everything suffers. The fields suffer as well as the ground. Drought takes over and nothing becomes adequate. However, only God can reverse the irreversible. The people of Judah and Jerusalem had to return to God to put an end to the result of drought.
When there is drought, there will be dryness and crack. No matter how much self energy or solution one might put into the area of lack without God; there will only be more complication. Resolve to ask God for genuine repentance like in the days of the Bible. Spiritual drought can be catastrophic to destiny; unless our hearts are genuinely changed. We want to change everything but leave our hearts unchanged. Open your heart to sincere change. Jesus is closer to His return than ever. He wants you and I to make a difference to the Kingdom! CHANGE. AMEN.
