“ANATHEMA MARANATHA”

1 Corinthians 16:22

"If any man love not the the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha."

Love is not only the priority of all things, but above all things. As we move on to the New Month of March, we should allow the idea of unconditional love to be part of our interactions with the people. How many new love habits have we cultivated and exhibited as the month is about to end

Paul became a fervent follower of Christ after he had an encounter with Jesus and was restored in love. Paul proclaimed CHRIST all the rest of his life, because of his love for CHRIST. Paul was changed from a hater to a lover. The wish of Paul was for all the Christians to love Jesus as he did. When he could not achieve this 100%, he became somehow frustrated and in his concluding part of his letter to the local church in Corinth he wrote the passage above.

Pau was somehow frustrated and fascinated about the mixed responses of the Christians. He encouraged the Christians to have the loving attitude of maintaining the blessed hope of looking upwards even in downward times with love of Christ. The love of Christ: it is the Master Key of love that can open all doors.

Love God and chose not to be Anathema Maranatha, which means cursed; pending the coming of Jesus that will show mercy in judgment. PRAISE GOD!
