Esther 5:2
"And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favor in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre"
There is always a difference between those who obtain favor and those who do not. Favor plays a major part in victory of life for Esther. Though, she was a queen, the law was express and established ; and every body in the region knew the consequences of running against it.
God touched the eyes, mind and the hands of the king and he extended the golden sceptre to Esther. In order words, the king gave back the life of Esther to her. She became the apple eye of the king. Mercy met with favor and that makes the difference.
What did Esther do to obtain such a special favor to make it possible for her to access the inaccessible? First, she totally left her life in the hands of God. Second, she put her people ahead of her life. She was not selfish – not living for herself alone. She lived for the entire Jews. Third, she called for solemn assembly of like minds to fight the battle against the evil plans by Haman. Lastly, she was fully persuaded that God that brought her out of Babylon was still God in her life. When we get to the crossroad of life, God is always present before time. He knows the end from the beginning. He is Elshadai. Trust in HIM and you will be able to do what others could not do, in Jesus Name. Amen.
