“A PURE RIVER” – Part I

Revelations 22:1

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb"

When the Bible says a pure river, it might mean there is also a contaminated river as well. Actually, for everything there is always the original and the opposite. Also, the Bible passage reveals that this pure river is full of life, crystal clear so because it proceeds from the throne of God and of the Lamb, it is the river is of God and Jesus.

 

The water of life reveals to us that there is no evil, death or an end to it. It is a river of eternal life, a river that has no blemish and is crystal clear. Water that is pure has no contamination or germs. There is a big difference between anyone who drinks pure water and someone else who drinks a contaminated river — Sin is a contamination and destroyer of life. Life is fully in good shape with pure water.

 

The Father in heaven and Jesus are directly the sources of this pure river. We should not be surprised that the river has been described as it were. It is forever flowing. It cannot dry. The truth and unpolluted word of God as affirmed by Christ is the pure river and it is still flowing. Some are at the bank of the pure river never wanted to get wet. Some are in it “ankle – deep” only never to really get involved. Never to take the word seriously and always ready to re-define the word of God, the gospel of Christ and even the carriers. Dip your spirit in the gospel, remain steadfast in it. Add no deceit in it and flow with the sources God and the Son, and you will be part of the life in the pure eternally flowing river. Amen.

Prayer points for the day

• 1) Father, thank you for allowing my joy to flow like a pure river, in Jesus Name.
• 2) Father, thank you for giving me peace flowing like a pure river, in Jesus Name.
• 3) Lord, let me be part of the crystal clear river, in Jesus Name, Amen.
• 4) Lord, wash me and renew my life in your pure river, in Jesus Name.
• 5) Almighty God, do not allow my “river” to be contaminated by anyone or any situation, in Jesus Name.
• 6) Lord, let the river of life that is pure as the crystal flow for my favors, in Jesus Name.
• 7) Father, deliver me from all impurities of this world and help to keep my life pure, in Jesus Name. Amen.
