“DRYING UP THE WATERS OF JORDAN”. Final Part : Friday January 19

Joshua 5:1

"And it came to pass when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of the Jordan Westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the Lord had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel."

The Israelites were wallowing in the wilderness despite the promises of God and all the miracles their fathers witnessed and told the new generation. Also, the opposition of the Israelites heard a news of what the Lord had done to dry up the obstacle of the river Jordan in order to facilitate the possessing of their possessions to the promised land.

The opposition became dispirited, many of them passed out and became confused with melted hearts to see the children of Israel crossed over the river Jordan without struggle. That showed that God opened the way of advance before the opposition could realize how far the Israelites had gone.

There is a possession to possess ; and the promised land of Canaan is a picture of we as believers possessing the victorious life of breakthrough, in Jesus; in as much as we are dwelling in the assurance of HIS NAME – JESUS; who Has become exchange and propitiation for our shortcomings by way of our repentance and transformation. Amen.
