1 John 5:11
"And this is the record, that God Hath given unto us eternal life, and this life is in His Son"
The above passage is one of the heartbeats of the gospel. In fact, all the Bible passages that refer to eternal life can be taken as the main substance and summary of the gospel of Jesus; who was sent to the world for the sake of our eternity. Nothing else and no one else can take us there. Not your money, position, family influence, business or job connection, educational qualification etc. It is the acceptance of the gift of Jesus that can take us to eternal life.
This is one of the seasons that God Had planned to get mankind with Him into eternity. God also made it for the records that no one can deny. God is interested in records of what He had in plans for us. There is record for everything that we do (good or bad) regarding the Kingdom of God. Records do not lie. The record is to show the extent of God’s eternal love for us.
God will not slack in His eternal purpose as man does. Matthew 1:17 shows that God Had been consistent and constant with His covenant process of eternity with the fourteen generations of Abraham to David, another set of fourteen generations of David until the carrying away into Babylon and further fourteen generations from the carrying away into Babylon unto the the birth of Jesus Christ. All along God had us in His agenda. The real deal is the Christmas season that a child is born unto us and a Son is given unto us. Make use of this season to secure a place for yourself in HIS eternal Kingdom. It is personal. Praise God.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the daily load of blessing in my life, in Jesus Name. Amen.
2) Lord, as this year 2015 is changing to the new Year 2016, let my level change to new level of your glory, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, move me forward never backward in Jesus Name.
4) Father, remember me for your greatness as this Year 2015 is about to end, in Jesus Name,
5) Lord, let your power keep me and my family safe and sound till we make it to eternity, in Jesus Name.
6) Almighty God, protect and preserve me and my household from all the end of the year usual calamities in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, me and my household will never miss eternity in your Kingdom, in Jesus Name. Amen.
